In this piece,The Revelry, the characters are fully participating in the revelry of the occasion – a rare and ominous comment burning through the evening sky. Wine, bourbon, cigarettes, and cigars add to the festivities as wages are put on cock fights on the sidewalk as a curios hound looks on, a confident fighter challenges the champion in the winner’s temple, and a card sharp shows off his tricks in the columned shrine. Two Ospreys witness the raucous scene from their nest atop a crumbling column.
